I’ll start off this review my giving you a little background on the author and his best-selling “12 Week Year” book which proceeded the full system. Then I’ll give a brief overview of what you get with 12 Week Mastery, and then I’ll wrap things up by sharing my personal thoughts, some pros and cons, and then my final recommendation on who this may or may not be well suited for.
What’s The Big Idea Behind Brian Moran’s 12 Week Year & This New Comprehensive System?
Note: the next several paragraphs give some basic background info. For more specific details on the program itself, and my opinion on it just scroll down a bit…
I first became familiar with Brain’s teachings last year when I read his NY Times Best Selling book “The 12 Week Year” (funnily enough another top marketing guy sent me a copy of it as a bonus prize after I placed highly in one of his sales contests.)
Anyhow, I have a lot of respect for the guy who sent me the book, he does 8 figures a year online, and really seems to have his act together productivity-wise (I mean you’ve got to be doing something right to make a personal income like he does!) So I approached the book with high expectations.
The author Brian has an impressive track record, but the thing that I like best about him is that he’s a leading expert not just on productivity, but on EXECUTION.
Sure, planning and having good systems in place is very important, but nothing substantial actually happens until somebody starts executing those plans, and that something that oftentimes gets glossed over. Another thing worth noting about Brian is that he has a pretty unique background as both a corporate executive and also as an entrepreneur, so he understands both worlds and can relate his knowledge to people in all different types of positions and businesses. He’s not just some hippie entrepreneur guy or anything like that.
Long story short Brian’s book did not disappoint. The basic premise is that when it comes to setting goals (business, career, personal etc) a year is a bit too long of a time.
Let’s face it, it can be hard to set goals in December and then stay on track, with enough momentum and focus, for a full year and see your plans come to fruition.
Sure, just the fact that you are setting goals in the first place automatically puts you ahead of about 98% of the population, but this being the case, as somebody who is success-minded it only makes sense that you have a goal-setting and goal-ACHIEVING plan in place that will give you the best chances of hitting those goals.
The solution is to start setting goals that you can reach in 12-Week period (a more much more predictable period of time), and in the book Brian gives you the basic outline to follow for setting those goals and managing your time over the 12 week period so that you are able to get what needs to get done, done.
The 12 Week Mastery program is the full system based on the principles Brian shares in the book, providing step-by-step implantation, community, support and so forth.
A Quick Overview Of 12 Week Mastery…
This program is being launched to the public later this month (September 2016) at a special price with some special bonuses which may not always be available. I will try my best to keep this section updated, but be sure to check the official website here, to see exactly what comes with it at any specific time.
The first and key components of the program are the 12 Week Year book, which introduces the system, and then twelve weeks of daily training where Brian shares more of his knowledge and keeps you following along and motivated, this is called the “Daily Implementation Series”. There is also a “JumpStart Bundle” of videos that show you how to embrace the 12 Week Year strategy and get all set to go.
You also get an “Execution Toolkit” which has your printable game plan and training materials like score cards, a 12 year strategy, and so forth. There is also a “12 Week Year Challenge” that you can do to get in touch with your competitive spirit and challenge yourself to excel.
In addition to the daily videos you also get ongoing training via weekly training webinars with Brian and Michael Lennington. These webinars will be recorded so you don’t need to attend live, but you may want to tune in when you can so you can ask questions and get live feedback. There will also be additional webinar trainings with Brian and some of his other esteemed colleagues like Todd Brown and Tom Beal.
More? Well you also get 2 free tickets to the live 12 Week Mastery event Brian is holding in West Palm Beach where you can learn from Brian live and hang out with a bunch of extremely successful motivated people. Hopefully I don’t need to tell you the impact that these kinds of immersion experiences can have on your success.
There is also an online community so you get network and get inspiration from other driven, focused and successful people.
Pros & Cons:
PRO #1 – Daily training to keep on track…
One of the best things about his program is that it gives you a full 12 weeks of daily training. That works out to just over 84 daily videos, to keep you on track every day of the 12 Weeks. This way you can watch the day’s video first thing in the morning and regain your clarity and get that boost of motivation to stay on track. After the first couple days the videos are short so they won’t eat up too much of your production time.
PRO #2 – Paradigm shifts that make a long-term difference.
Beyond what you can accomplish in your first 12 Week Year, and those that will follow, one of the best things about this system is that it gives you a completely new paradigm for looking at your business, and goal setting, success that isn’t taught anywhere else.
PRO #3 – Best thing for finding true clarity and focus.
As an entrepreneur and somebody who really wants to live life to the fullest (in terms of finances, relationships, personal development etc.) I have done a lot of “seeking”. What I mean is I’ve tried a lot of things to gain clarity on my goals and my life, tried various morning rituals, taken some nootropics, etc. That said, Brian’s 12 Week Mastery is gold when it comes to cutting through the BS and getting crystal clear on your priorities, and zeroing in on them like a self-guided missile.
CON #4 – You can’t buy the ability to execute.
Personally, I’ve spent a lot of money on business training programs like this, and then I never even watch all the videos, let alone follow through and do everything that the program tells me to do. It’s embarrassing to admit, but it’s true. So don’t think that simply buying this is going to magically ensure that you are able to accomplish your top goals in the next three months. It certainly can help. And if you are a motivated person then this very well may be the structure you need to have in place to achieve your goals, but at the end of the day you are the one who needs to execute and make it happen.
12 Week Mastery is a great program. It’s the #1 thing I recommend for ending procrastination, increasing your productivity and focus, and executing like a champion.
I think that anybody who takes this, and implements it is going to have a MASSIVE advantage when it comes to achieving their goals.
